Bruce is bringing his fourth show to the Edinburgh Fringe in August of 2008, 'About Robert the Bruce' follows in the series of ecucatinoal comedy shows that have become his trademark over the last three years.

Reviewers of previous shows: 'The Greek the Apple and the Time Machine' 'About Tam O'Shanter' and 'About the Jacobites' have said the following....
Quite simply, the guy knows how to make you laugh and make you laugh often.

simply and purely hilarious.
His research is deep, his timing spitsecond and his ad-lib ability amazing.
…has a sharp stand-up brain.

Fantastic value for money - not only was I getting some fine Fringe comedy, but I was learning something about the country that hosts this Festival. … Fummey completely won me over.

Bruce Fummey’s routine is funny, tinged with a theatrical quality, and is sustained right to the end for what seems a very short hour.

The Second Sand Tour
Just Laugh has been on another Sand Tour, with shows in Muscatt, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Bruce Fummey introduced Gary Little and Steven Dick to warm and receptive audiences in each of these locations and we even had a bit of time to do the tourist thing. Here is a picture of three nuts in a Muscat marketplace

Although audiences were largely British there was an international feel to all the shows. In Abu Dhabi a group of Japanese in the audience were asked: ‘Did you understand Gary’s Scottish accent?’ They replied: ‘No, but we understood the writing on his shirt!’ A laugh is a laugh however you get it.

About the Jacobites
After two successful Fringe shows, the first about physics and the second covering Tam O'Shanter, Bruce made his third appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe in a show 'About the Jacobites' This continues the theme of 'educomedy' where you enjoy an hour of laughter, yet come away wiser than you were before, learning about the romantic, violent, cathartic and of course hilariously funny period of Scottish history.
Hang on to your kilt!

Sand Tour
Just Laugh has made it's second trip to the Persian Gulf with it's first 'Sand Tour'. Bruce Fummey along with Vladimir McTavish and Bruce Morton performed three nights in June starting with a night in the (supposedly) alchohol free Kuwait city, followed by Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
As well as performing gigs for Scottish and international audiences the guys had an eventful speedboad trip, only just evading the clutches of the Iranian national Guard and took in sights of culture and elegance. The shows were fantastically well received and great fun to perform at. We arrived to take Scottish culture to Kuwait, only to find someone called McDonald had got there first.

About Tam O'Shanter
After a successful fringe Bruce toured the critically acclaimed About Tam O'Shanter show.
If you have missed the show why not order the About Tam O'Shanter DVD!
Just Laugh Gypsies
More and more we are asked to take Laugh shows to new venues for one off or regular nights. In the last year this has taken us to Aberdeen, Inverness, Skye, Crieff, The Isle of Lewis and St Johnstone. If you have a sports club social, party night, corporate event or just want to bring a one off comedy night to your local town or village we can give you a night to remember. Email through the website for details.
Charities
February brings a new opportunity for charities with Just Laugh comedy clubs. Starting with Guildtown Community Association in February and Young Carers Initiative in March charities will be able to enjoy a laugh for two reasons. Registered charities can contact us and use Just Laugh nights as a fund raising opportunity. We will provide a number of tickets which charities can sell in order to raise funds. Funnier than Red nose day, easier than rattling a can, sexier than an Anne Summers bring and buy sale.
